I bought a WSO product the other day as I like to see what other marketers are up to. In the product this successful marketer was describing his six figure sales funnel and why people needed to have one in place to build a very successful business. As he went through each step I could see that the way he had set up his business was very similar to what we have at Empower Network. Let me explain.

He talked about having a low cost front end offer to get people into your marketing funnel, then he said you should have a higher priced product as an upsell, then there where another 3 upsells including a membership site to create recurring income. You would of course have to create these products yourself he said so you where making 100% on each sale. You also had to set up a merchant account to take payments and of course do all your own support on all your products.

Well I thought about this and could see that we already had all of that covered with Empower Network. Let me walk you through each stage.

Searching for how to increase your blog traffic?

Every blogger is looking for blog traffic the more visitors the more chance they have of creating leads making sales etc….

In this post you will discover how to increase your blog traffic without relying on ranking in the google search engines.

Blog Traffic Secrets

Today I am going to talk about different ways to get that all important blog traffic to your site. All these strategies are free strategies so will be very helpful to all the cash strapped bloggers out there.

First off all you need to write your blog post of course. Now before you do this think about what you want your post to achieve. Is it to get people to join your list? It may be to get people to actually join you in your business. Whatever the reason you need to have this in mind when you write the post.

What you need to do is target people who you think would be interested in what you are wanting them to join. Take this post for example I would be targeting bloggers who are looking for ideas how to get more traffic.

Next you would search the google keywords tool for keywords to target. You are doing this not to rank in google but to see how many people are searching for the keyword. Obviously you want at least a thousand people a month searching for the keyword to make it worth your while.

So you have written your blog post and it’s ready to go and get you traffic. The secret is to distribute your post by repurposing your content and spread it all over the net.

Blog Traffic Strategies

Post your article on various article directories like ezine articles, article base, buzzle, goarticles, articlesnatch etc…

Next repurpose your article into a video using microsoft power point or open office presentation. Make a few slides with the main points you want to make then make it into a video using something like jing if it’s less than 5 minutes long or camtasia if it’s a bit longer. Add a bit of audio of you speaking and you are ready to share your video. I always use the free jing tool and keep my videos short.

You then distribute your video to you tube, metacafe etc…

Now go to forums that would be interested in your subject matter and add your article there too. Not forgetting to make sure you have a link in your signature that sends people to your blog or a squeeze page so you can capture their details. Warrior forum and betternetwork.com are two of the forums that get a lot of traffic.

It is now time to turn your article into a pdf and distribute it to the document sharing sites such as docstoc.com, box.net and slideshare. To turn your article into a pdf go to zinepal.com and follow the instructions by clicking the how it works tab.

Another way to get blog traffic is to add your article to high traffic web 2.0 sites such as Squidoo or hub pages. These two sites get a lot of traffic so it is worth the time and effort to post your article there.

I know this will take you a bit of  time at first but as you go on and do this on a regular basis you will see the increase in your blog traffic and you will become quicker at getting these tasks done.

Today I would like to ask you if you like many other marketers are relying on an income from one company?  What would happen if that company suddenly shut down? It does happen, you see companies vanish overnight, leaving marketers in a panic as they have suddenly had their only income taken away from them.

Searching for how to create a blog?

You have come to the right place.

By the time you have finished reading this article you will know how to create a blog and how you can get started today.

Why Would I Want To Create a Blog?

Why would you want to create a blog? Here’s why, by having your own blog you can attract people to you and build a community of followers. A blog is also found very easily by google so will attract traffic through the search engines.

One thing I should point out is you have the choice of free blogs like blogger.com or your own blog hosted on your own domain. The advantage of having your own blog is you will have full control of the content on your blog. There could be restrictions on what you write about on the free blogs.

Isn’t It Expensive To Create a Blog?

It is not very expensive to build your own blog. All you need is a domain name, hosting for your domain and if you want to build a list to market to, you will need an autoresponder such as Aweber.

So how much would it cost to create a blog? $10 a year for your domain name from somewhere like go-daddy.com. You can get hosting for as low as $7 a month just type hosting into google. An autoresponder with aweber will set you back about $19 a month.

A company I use as well as aweber is GVO, One advantage is the price, $9.95 a month. The second advantage of GVO is you also get hosting for up to 3 domains included in the price so that would also solve your hosting needs. You also have access to other tools to help you build your blog and business. There is also an affiliate program within GVO that you can use to start earning money by recommending it to others. Take the $1 seven day trial. 

So as you see it’s not a lot to create a blog is it? If it is used correctly your blog will make you money to more than cover these costs.

Creating a Blog From Scratch

So you now have your domain name, hosting and maybe an autoresponder, what next? You now need to add wordpress to your domain name. Don’t panic this is not difficult, honest:). You need to go to your domains control panel this is known as cpanel this is where you can add wordpress.

When you registered your domain you would have set a username and password to access your cpanel. It will have been emailed to you after you purchased your domain. So you would type in your new domain name and add /cpanel at the end. Here is how mine would look http://www.workwithfrankbow.com/cpanel.

You will then be asked for your username and password to get access to your control panel. Once inside your cpanel scroll down until you reach the software/services. In this section you will see Fantastico De Luxe you can’t miss it because it is a big blue smiley face. Click on the smiley face and you are taken to another page, if you look on the left hand side under blogs you will see wordpress click to the left and the button will turn blue.

Click where it says install wordpress and it will quickly install wordpress for you. You are now ready to start building your blog from scratch. You will find many tutorials on you tube etc on how to do this. Here is a video showing you this process.
